Entering the historic Elsinore Theater is like entering a geode . . . its rough exterior, not yet touched by restoration's hand, hiding a breathtakingly fabulous interior. It draws you in to a bygone era of opulence and beauty. Tall gothic pillars frame the lobby with wide, graceful staircases extending into the nether-reaches above. Behind the western interior balcony, overlooking the lobby, vibrant stained glass wall panels depict scenes straight from Shakespeare's Hamlet. In fact, the theater was designed in Tudor Gothic style to look like Elsinore Castle. For this concert, guests should be treated to the glow of the sun setting through those gorgeous windows, stretching their colors to the lobby below.

Acoustically superior, the Elsinore was built to carry the sounds of the human voice and music without amplification. Musicians clamor for the opportunity to perform at the Elsinore where, truly, sound does not get any better. This concert will be a special treat for everyone involved: the performers, the audience and Laura's House of Peace.

Visit The Elsinore Theater web page for more of the history of this incredible building, its on-going restoration by dedicated volunteers and for driving directions and parking facilities.
